Black History Heroes, Soldiers & Spies @ Bedford Central Library

Logo for Bright Star Touring Theatre.Come to the Bedford Central Library this afternoon as we welcome members of the Bright Star Touring Theatre as they perform their show – Heroes, Soldiers & Spies.  In this production audiences will have the opportunity to experience, celebrate and learn about some amazing people from throughout Black History.  They’ll take the audience westward to see the work of the Buffalo Soldiers and Col. Charles Young and join the Tuskegee Airmen as they take flight to help win a battle in World War II.  This play also highlights the work of spies such as Mary Elizabeth Bower who worked with the Union during the Civil War.  Please join us for this inspiring and interactive performance.

Family Fun Night: Amazing Fossils @ Moneta/SML Library
Nov 21 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

T-Rex skeleton eating a triceratops skeleton.Come to the Moneta library to learn about fossils with Captain Vic, he will be bringing pieces of his collection of fossils, kids will be able to see and touch real fossils and ask questions.
For ages 7 and up.  Refreshments will be served.  Registration is required.

Merry Mad Scientist Part 1 @ Bedford Central Library

Christmas SlimeKids in grades 2 through 5 are invited to join us for a special holiday-themed STEM program this afternoon presented by Suzanne Warner, former Bedford middle school science teacher.
Kids will have fun with chemistry learning how to make their own holiday SLIME.

Merry Mad Scientist Part 2 @ Bedford Central Library

Making milk plastic ornaments.Kids in grades 2 through 5 are invited to join us for a special holiday-themed STEM program this afternoon presented by Suzanne Warner, former Bedford middle school science teacher.
In this program we will be experimenting with the chemical process of mixing milk and vinegar together to create an organic plastic type material.  Kids will then use this substance to make their own Christmas ornaments.
