Library Assistant 1 - Montvale Library

The Bedford Public Library System is seeking a public service oriented individual to work in the Montvale Library; ability to work with groups of children or young adults required.  Major duties include a full range of automated circulation desk procedures, assisting patrons with materials selection, use of the catalog, responding to reference questions, and implementing children’s programming.  Part-time, 20 hours per week, including evening and weekend hours.  Starting pay is $9.25 per hour.  Applications are available at any Bedford Public Library or online.  Position open until filled. Library Associate - Forest Library

The Forest Branch of the Bedford Public Library System is seeking someone with a strong customer service background to work in a busy library.  Major duties include assisting patrons of all ages with reference needs, computer instruction, children’s programming, reader’s advisory, circulation functions, and some management responsibilities.  Applicants must have a Bachelors degree, relevant experience, and computer skills.  Full time including evening and weekend hours. Salary range begins at $22,280.  Applications available at any BPLS location or online. Position open until filled.  EOE
