Youth Summer Reading Program
The annual Youth Summer Reading program is open to all Bedford Public Library patrons, ages 0-18. Its purpose is to promote the use of the pubic library and encourage reading throughout the summer. All 6 locations participate in the youth summer reading program.
Special programs are based on a common summer theme and are designed to highlight the FUN involved with reading and library usage. Reading is promoted through a rewards-based system. Past programs included age-specific story times, puppet shows, magic shows, concerts, book discussions, movies, video game tournaments and much more.
If you want to contribute to the Summer Reading Program, contact the Youth Services Department at (540) 586-8911 x. 2107.
