October Sky
Join us at the Big Island Library today for a Teen-Tween MOVIE MARATHON for grades 4 and up.  For the final film in our marathon, we will be showing the movie October Sky in honor of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the first moon landing.  October Sky is based on the true story of Homer Hickam a coal miner’s son who was inspired by the first Sputnik launch to take up rocketry against his father’s wishes.
Rated PG.
From 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM our 6th graders+ will get to create and enjoy their own Showtime Foods – popcorn and nachos with special toppings!
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Big Island Library.
