A man and a woman standing next to each other fishing.Warm weather beckons us to cool water and fishing!  James Tyler Young, the Fisheries Biologist Technician from the Virginia Department of Game & Inland Fisheries, will be our guest speaker on July 9th as a special part of the BPLS Summer Reading Program.  He plans to introduce and elaborate on local fishing grounds, including the James River, with hints for how to catch your tastiest dinner and how to be safe as you enjoy the sport and the results of your efforts.  “Superstars of Big Island’s Creeks and Rivers” will be a good evening for fishing enthusiasts of all ages to come together for information and possibly even to share a “fish tale” or two!
