To celebrate Smith Mountain Arts Council’s 30th anniversary of supporting the arts at the lake, Lake Writers is proud to announce the availability of its third literary collection, Encore: The Third Anthology of the Lake Writers. Featuring the best short works of eighteen Lake Writers, the collection contains poems, short stories, and essays. Authors contributed individual works so that all proceeds go to the annual scholarship fund. The official launch party will be co-hosted by SMAC and the Friends of the SML/Moneta Library at the library. Authors (Betsy Ashton, Peggy Clutz, Janis Erickson, John J. Jessop, Chuck Lumpkin, Sue Patterson, Richard Raymond III, Mary Kay Simmons, and Mark Young) will be there to read snippets of their contributions.
Books will be available for sale at $10 per copy.
Refreshments will be served.
