Book cover for Encore the third anthology from the Smith Mountain Arts Council.To celebrate Smith Mountain Arts Council’s 30th anniversary of supporting the arts at the lake, Lake Writers is proud to announce the availability of its third literary collection, Encore: The Third Anthology of the Lake WritersFeaturing the best short works of eighteen Lake Writers, the collection contains poems, short stories, and essays. Authors contributed individual works so that all proceeds go to the annual scholarship fund.  The official launch party will be co-hosted by SMAC and the Friends of the SML/Moneta Library at the library.  Authors (Betsy Ashton, Peggy Clutz, Janis Erickson, John J. Jessop, Chuck Lumpkin, Sue Patterson, Richard Raymond III, Mary Kay Simmons, and Mark Young) will be there to read snippets of their contributions.
Books will be available for sale at $10 per copy.
Refreshments will be served.
Books are also available at Reclaimed on Route 122 across from Bojangles.

Smith Mountain Arts Council’s mission is to serve as a coordination body for the performing and visual arts in and around the Smith Mountain Lake area by providing opportunities for individuals and groups to participate in the area and for individuals to be exposed to the various forms of arts for their cultural pleasure and enhancement.
