Visit the Stewartsville Library this afternoon as we join the millions of children and adults who’ll be participating in this year’s Jumpstart Read For The Record® event!
Jumpstart is celebrating the 14th anniversary of its annual campaign that asks people to read the same book on the same day.  The purpose of this program is to bring attention to inequities in early childhood education and inspire adults to read with children.  This year’s book selection, Thank You, Omu! by Oge Mora tells the story of a generous elderly woman who makes a fantastic pot of thick red stew. The scent from her stew travels all throughout her neighborhood and brings all of her community members over to her home for a taste. By the end, she shares a lovely feast with her neighbors where everyone contributes to the meal.

Thanksgiving Reader’s Theater Rehearsal @ Stewartsville Library

The Stewartsville Library will be celebrate Thanksgiving with Reader’s Theatre for Ages 7-14.

Practices will be November 16th  10-1  and 19th 5:00 – 6:30. The performance is on November 23rd at 11:00 AM. Performance open to all ages.

Where The Wild Things Are Book Club: A Snicker of Magic @ Stewartsville Library

Join us this evening for the monthly meeting of Where The Wild Books Are a book club for kids ages 7-12!
The book club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month (unless the library is closed) at 5:00 PM to discuss a different book.  Kids will also do fun activities based on the book. 
Copies of the books will be available for check out at the Stewartsville Library.  Registration is required; please call us at 540-425-7008 ext. 3 to sign up.
