Money Smart: Charge It Right @ Moneta/SML Library

This is the eighth session in our 12-month Money Smart financial literacy series at the Moneta/SML Library presented by Woodforest Bank*.  This month’s topic is called Charge It Right.  By the end of this course, participants will understand how to use a credit card responsibly and what to do when a credit card is lost or stolen.  To achieve this objective, the participants will be able to:

  • Define credit and explain why it is important.
  • Describe the purpose of credit cards.
  • Determine if they are ready to apply for a credit card.
  • Determine which credit card is best suited for them.
  • Identify the factors creditors look for when making credit decisions.
  • Describe how to use a credit card responsibly.
  • Identify the steps to take when a credit card is lost or stolen.

*You do not have to have an account with Woodforest Bank to attend these financial literacy seminars they are open to all adults.  Attend any sessions you want.  For more information contact us at 540-425-7004.
