This is the fifth session in our 12-month Money Smart financial literacy series at the Moneta/SML Library presented by Woodforest Bank*. This month’s topic is called Pay Yourself First. By the end of this course, participants will understand ways to save money and savings options to save toward their goals. To achieve this objective, the participants will be able to:
- Explain why it’s important to save.
- Determine goals toward which they want to save.
- Identify savings options.
- Determine which savings options will help them reach their savings goals.
- Recognize investment options that will work for them.
- List ways they could save for retirement.
- List ways to save for large-expense goals, including child’s college tuition, car or home purchase, or a vacation.

Join us as our local Master Gardeners teach us about types of succulents, the differences between cacti and succulents, and how assorted succulents require individual care. They will also demonstrate the proper techniques to use when propagating succulents. Each participant will then plant their own succulent in a re-purposed container, ready to display and enjoy at home!

Books 4 Fun is a preschool program for ages 3-6. Your child will enjoy music, rhymes, stories, crafts, and opportunities to engage in creative play. The theme for this session is Reading Takes You Everywhere!
