Family Fun Night with the Fire Department and their Fire Truck! @ Moneta/SML Library

Join us for the 1st EVER Family Fun Night at the Moneta/SML Library.
Come and see a real fire truck!  Hear about fire safety from the Moneta Volunteer Fire Department.  Get handouts, stickers, and hats!
Do a craft and eat some snacks!
Registration is required for this event.

Family Fun Nights will be held on the last Thursday of each month.
Join us each month for different activities fun for the whole family!

Join us at the Moneta/SML library for a monthly Saturday afternoon screening of a movie for adults and teens
This month we will be watching Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald starring Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Johnny Depp, Callum Turner, Ezra Miller, and Alison Sudol.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

Free movie snacks and drinks will be served.

An afternoon for knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers from beginners to pros.  Come learn a new skill or come share your skills and talents with others—and have a good time.

Bring the projects you are currently working on and enjoy the companionship & knowledge of other fiber enthusiasts.

If you would like to learn to knit or crochet or if you are stuck in a pattern come to the gathering and someone will help you.

This month we will be showing the film Green Book starring Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali, Linda Cardellini, Sebastian Maniscalco, Dimiter D. Marinov, Mike Hatton, Von Lewis, and Don Stark.

Based on a true story the film tells the story of a working-class Italian-American bouncer who becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960’s American South.

Healing Your Body Through Physical Therapy: Shoulder Pain/Arthritis @ Moneta/SML Library

Illustration of a human shoulder with a red circle indicating pain.Jake Divers, DPT, and Neel Shah, PTA from CORA Physical Therapy in Hardy, VA will be presenting a monthly 4-part educational series where they will discuss pain in different parts of the body,  the anatomy of those areas, and how degeneration causes pain over time.  They will also talk about balance and what causes balance problems as we age.  Participants will learn some simple exercises that can be done at home to help alleviate pain.   This month’s program will focus on pain/arthritis in the shoulder.
