Please register ahead of time for the club. Ages 6+, come to the Forest Library on first Thursdays and learn about dinosaurs in detail from a dinosaur expert. Each child will receive detailed species fact sheets at each meeting.We hope to see you there!

Try one of ours or bring your own!

Stargazing Science Night @ Forest Library
Oct 10 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Come out for a night of stargazing with the Blue Ridge Astronomy Club. The Astronomy Club will bring their telescopes for viewing the night sky and will point out constellations and planets! An alternative indoor program will be planned as well in case of inclement weather.
For ages 4+.  No registration required.

Family Pumpkin Carving Party @ Forest Library

Smiling Jack-O-Lantern leaning against a rock.Carve some time out of your weekend to join us for this family-friendly Halloween program as we transform plain pumpkins into “Spooktacular” decorations.  Pumpkins and tools will be provided; kids attending without an adult can decorate their pumpkins using markers.

refreshments will be served.
Space is limited and registration is required.

Halloween Story Time @ Forest Library

Kids of all ages are invited to come to the Forest Library dressed in their best costumes for a not-so-spooky Story Time filled with Halloween stories, songs and more!  After story time we will go trick-or-treating around the library!

Forest Library’s 20th Anniversary Celebration @ Forest Library
Nov 12 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Open hand holding a tree.The Forest Library will be commemorating their 20th Anniversary with a tree planting at 2:00 PM.  Refreshments will be available and there will be “a look at the Forest Library through the years” photo montage highlighting the past, present, and future of the library running in the community room.
