The MOarts Gallery Presents… The River Queen Bee Quilt Exhibition
At the Moneta/SML Library

Named for the Roanoke River, the River Queen Bee quilters started with a few quilt enthusiasts who lived near the upper river. Now a group of fifteen, they meet as a sub group of the Lake Quilters Guild.  The Bee has made it a primary mission to create quilts for those who need them.  Last year they completed fifteen quilts for charities including “SML Good Neighbors,” a local organization that provides programs and meals for children whose families have limited resources.  A variety of traditional and art quilts made by River Queen Bee members Klysta Armstrong, Lyn Carroll, Nancy Corp, Sharon Cullen, Marlyn Curnow, Janet Fogel, Bette Gove, Patti Lively, Connie Lutz, Linda Pote, Nancy Robbins, Joy Shannahan, Connie Simmons, Dottie Wilson, and Sue Wilson will be on exhibit during the month of July at the Moneta/SML Library.  For more information about the exhibit please contact the library at 540-425-7004.
