Local artist Zaida Swedberg, a free-lance photographer with portraits and action shots on her website will have a MOarts Gallery exhibition from Thursday, February 1, 2018 through Wednesday, February 28, 2018.  Experienced in photographing events and figures in play including football and marching band, Swedberg has also explored portrait photography, notably senior portraits for students. After graduating from Marshall University in West Virginia, she has continued to build upon the experience that she had in photo-journalism for WMUL radio station and “The Parthenon”- Marshall University’s newspaper. A native of Bedford County, Zaida Swedberg attended school in the Moneta area. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Sculpture from Marshall University. An artist in a variety of media, her passion is photography. Her February exhibit features thought-provoking images depicting a range of style and subject matter.  Zaida Swedberg’s photos may be viewed in the MOarts Gallery during library hours at the Moneta/ Smith Mountain Lake Library.
